On January 31st, 2018, the English Honor Society had scheduled to write cards for hospitalized children to send all around the country. Cards will also be sent to Ronald McDonald Houses in different states and locally. Any student is allowed to join by bringing construction paper, markers, stickers, and any decorations they might want to add. Students will have the opportunity to obtain 2 community service hours, and Honor Society members will be able to obtain 3 points for their induction. The Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK) organization has made it their purpose to send joy to children and families who could be going through tough times. Individuals have the opportunity to send holiday cards during the holiday season or send general cards like what the Honor Society will be doing. The cards are meant to give children joy and brighten their day especially when they are ill in a hospital. Cards can be sent all year around and can be written in English and/or Spanish. Students from a variety of states are encouraged to join together and make cards that are used for a good cause. Cards are collected monthly from elementary and high schools and then distributed country-wide.
